Who is eligible for a free NHS Flu Jab?

The NHS offers free flu vaccinations to those most at risk from influenza.

🗓 From 1st September 2025 – Pregnant women can receive their free NHS flu jab.

🗓 From 1st October 2025 – All other eligible adult groups will be able to book and receive their vaccination.

💉 The campaign runs until 31st March 26, but you’re encouraged to get vaccinated before 30th November 2025 for best protection through winter.

Eligible groups include:

Adults aged 65 and over

Pregnant women

Individuals aged 18–64 in a clinical risk group

Carers and household contacts of immunocompromised individuals

Frontline health and social care workers

Adults in long-stay residential care homes

Some patients may require a second dose 6 months after the first for optimal protection.
