Transmission
Tetanus enters through wounds contaminated with soil. Diphtheria spreads via respiratory droplets and skin contact. Polio spreads through contaminated food and water. All three are vaccine-preventable.
Geography
Tetanus is a worldwide risk. Diphtheria circulates in parts of Asia, Africa, the South Pacific and former Soviet states. Polio remains endemic in Afghanistan and Pakistan, with outbreaks in several African countries.
Immunity
A single dose of REVAXIS boosts your existing routine immunity for around 10 years. UK adults who received the full childhood schedule plus the 14-year booster only need this one combined jab before travel.
